Owners and Administrators can manage a notebook under the Notebook settings by clicking on the triple bar menu at the top right-hand corner and select “Notebook Settings”.
Notebook Settings has three components to manage the settings of the notebook, to add and manage users, and to add and manage groups.
The Notebook Settings allows you to manage commenting privileges for guests or anybody who has access to the entry. To learn more about comments, click here.
On the Entry options section the notebook owner can turn on markdown for plain text entries. for more information about Plain Text Entries, click here. Also, under the Entry Options, the owner of a notebook has a choice whether they prefer newest entries be added at the top of the page or on the bottom of the page. On the Page Signing section the Notebook Owner can turn on witnessing and signing for the entire notebook. For more information about witnessing, click here.
User Management allows you to add users and manage their usage rights for the entire notebook. For more information about this feature, click here.
LabArchives offers the ability to arrange the Users into Groups with custom permissions. This allows managing access privileges for a large group rather than on an individual basis. To learn more about group management, click here.
