Your Notebook Entries...Organized, How You Want Them.

LabArchives is releasing two new entry workflow enhancements tonight* to improve the way you interact within the entries section of your notebook.
*Australian servers will be updated with this functionality over the weekend of April 21-23.

Add Entry Option
Notebook owners are given a choice on whether they prefer the newest entries be added at the top of the page or at the bottom of the page. When they create their second entry in a new notebook, they will be prompted with these two options.

Add Entry Option

Once a selection is saved, this option will be set for the entire notebook and can be managed from the Notebook Settings.

Note: This feature is not available for Master Course Notebooks or Student Notebooks.

Rearrange Entries on a Page
Notebook owners are given the option to rearrange entries on a page. The owner of the notebook can choose how they want to rearrange their page by clicking on the vertical ellipsis (to the right of the Page Tools options), and hovering over "Rearrange" will show all the options (shown below).

Rearrange Entries style=

Once you select a rearrange option, a warning message will appear which will need to be approved prior to the change taking effect. This rearrangement will impact everyone who has access to view or edit the page.

  • This option is best for pages that have not been formatted with Headings.
  • Use in conjunction with the new Add Entry Option to change the order of current page entries and then continue to add newest entries to the top of the page.

Note: This feature is not available for Master Course Notebooks or Student Notebooks.
Note: The page order cannot be reverted from the page revision history, but the arrows on the edit entry toolbars can be used to reorganize entries into the desired position within the page.
